FORM AND TECHNIQUE - BARBELL AND DUMBBELL EXERCISES BENCH PRESS: REVERSE CURL, SEATED DUMBBELL CURL, CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS & STANDING OR SEATED TRICEP

Reverse curl
Equipment: Barbell
Movement: Using overhand grip, raise bar from thighs to chest level, and return.
Hints: Use less weight than in two-arm curl.
Muscle Groups: Upper arm flexors, Hand extensors, Finger extensors
Seated dumbbell curl
Equipment: Dumbbells Movement: Using an underhand grip, curl one or both dumbbells to the shoulder, then slowly return the weight to the sides of the body.
Hints: Keep the back straight through- out the entire movement. Muscle Groups: Elbow flexors
Close grip bench press
Equipment: Barbell, squat rack, spotter Movement: Using an overhand grip, slowly lower the barbell to the chest and press back to the starting position. Hints: Grasp center of bar (hands 2 to 4 inches apart). Bend knees at 90°; keep feet off the bench floor so as to avoid arching the back. Keep elbows in; extend arms fully.
Muscle Groups: Triceps, Anterior deltoid, Pectoralis major
Standing or seated tricep
Equipment: Dumbbell Movement: With both hands grasped around the inner side of one dumbbell overhead, lower the weight behind your head, then return.
